I'm talking about it now because I want people to know my story and how it all went for me getting a microdiscectomy. I have found other people's stories via blog or vlog or forum posts to help calm fears, prepare expectations, and get more information.
As you can imagine having this sciatica pain in my back and down my right leg has greatly affected my ability to do the work that I love, which is creating things in many shapes and forms... namely clothing and costumes. This has also affected my ability as a wife and a mother to an almost 2-year-old. This is unacceptable to me, I'm only 28 years old and yet I'm going through this and it's been very hard
In my next post I'll describe my journey to getting surgery. I want to be a comfort to some, a fountain of information to others, and I just want to be a voice for people that are going through the same. I want them to know that they're not alone In their frustration, sadness, and disappointment at having this condition.
