I asked/shopped around because I realized I should have a logo that I could put on promotional items (business cards, car decals, t-shirts, etc). Normally I do all my own graphic design but I really wanted to take that burden off of my shoulders and not have to worry about it. Unfortunately, everyone I found or know of is sadly out of my price range... so I did indeed have to take matters into my own hands. Me and adobe illustrator sat down together and I painstakingly took an art nouveau approach to my logo. I'm pleased with how it turned out -- I updated the look of my website with it, my etsy, my youtube, and finally my facebook page. I have ordered some promotional materials and now I am all set!!
Last night I sat down and listed all of the 80's vintage clothing left over from the production of the opera I did that I thought people might want to buy. The prices are QUITE low and all of them are genuinely vintage. I won't go making this a habit up on my etsy since I don't normally go searching for this stuff, but I thought I might try. If it doesn't work, everything will be sold back to a vintage shop here in town.
Lastly, I am preparing to host group sewing classes hopefully in March. Details are mailed to everyone that signs up to my mailing list (on the classes page!).
ANYWAY -- take a look at my updated sites, read my last blog about the Opera I designed recently, and peruse my etsy shop :) Talk soon!
